Learn to Earn (L2E) and ALEX BOYE

This last weekend LDSBC put on a conference called L2E. Where a lot people come and talk about personal branding and what your vision is. Friday for me was the same stuff I was learning in my other classes but Saturday was when I really learned we Alex Boye come talk to us there was only about 150 students and it was amazing. You had to invited to come and to do that you had to have 25 connections on LinkedIn, Twitter about L2E, Facebook about L2E and get your LDS jobs up to 95%.  So I filmed the whole talk that Alex gave and let me say it was one of the most amazing talks I have heard in a long time. He talked about having scoliosis and being in pain for a long time in the hospital and the doctors said this was the fasted they had seen some one healed so fast. It brought me back to my operations and how I was able to heal quickly and I am grateful to Heavenly Father to help me through that. Trying to figuring out what I need to do in my life. There is a reason why I am at LDSBC and it has taken me about 3 years to figure out to do something that I love Social Media Marketing helping people promote their business. Something that really hit me about Joseph Smith why did Joseph smith have a first vision the question that Alex Boye had. he talked about him being feathered. Joseph Smith would not deny that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I had to think about what he was also saying do you have a vision? Also I AM and whatever comes after that will shape the person that I will become. When is the last time I looked in the mirror and said I am the noble and great one. It's not bragging it's understanding you I am. Take your lid of your jar so you can have freedom in whatever you do if not you will just stay in that jar. Write down your goals and give it to God so that he will be able to know what you want in this life. I am grateful for the opportunity to listen to Alex Boye and the amazing talk he gave.

Klondike 2015

So I was called to be assistant scoutmaster a couple of months ago, and come to find out there is this great thing called Klondike. Now when I was a scout we were invited to come to the Seattle council Klondike for a few years till one year we took the trophy home with us. It never went out of the council so good thing we won it. Looking back on my years in scouting I still think this was a awesome event to do as a scout. Now to the present time I was excited for the boys to do that same thing. So we went to Rockport State park which was a beautiful drive. got there and set up camp and then in the morning that was when the real fun started. Now in our troop we have about 5 boys that are active so in my mind we would not do so well. But I was wrong we placed 3rd overall. It was very cold and windy and the boys wanted to go home but we held strong to what we needed to do. There was first aid, fire building, compass course, knot tieing and a tug of war. We did build a sled but Utah and this crazy weather we are having didn't let us have any snow.

The boys did great at the compass course they got 9 out of 10 on that and they did awesome at tug of war winning 2 out of 2 and first aid they did great wrapping up a broken ankle. We just have to work on knot tieing. The BSA does a awesome thing teaching the boys basic skills to survive, help, and  serve the community, their families and themselves. They learned a lot from building a sled team work, engineering, patience, and a lot more other things those were just the top ones I saw. Here is a video that I made for them and my social media marketing class at LDSBC. Just click on the  Just click on the Link
